Island Vista Estates is a gated, pet friendly all-age community located in North Fort Myers. North Fort Myers is on situated on the northern shore of the Caloosahatchee River. This 38-mile river is a great place to explore the great outdoors, kayakers and canoeist love to explore the many creeks and feeder rivers. Thomas Edison discovered Fort Myers in the 1880’s, via the Caloosahatchee River. Be sure to visit his 14-acre river front estate. His home, laboratory, and experimental gardens are open to the public.
